Artwork to TM challenge 9: "Sketchfab in motion"
This project was made for Twinmotion's challenge 9: "Sketchfab in motion". I just loved it and the reason was the final result, even with problems with the texture configuration for the scenario, a problem that Gravity Sketch has when importing the models, especially for the volume tool.
I started without an initial idea formed, other than the scenario I wanted to use. I'll admit I did see some references here, but going into a more fantasy environment than what I ended up doing.
So, I opened the file in Twinmotion, and I started to configure the textures, after I had the scenery assembled, I started experimenting with the insertion of vegetation, birds, butterflies, finally, I went after a Sketchfab model that matched that idea , then I found the models of two warriors: one barbarian and the other an ice girl, I liked the aesthetics and thought it would fit there.
In the meantime, I found a phoenix, although it is well modeled, with bone movement, in twinmotion it is still not possible to reproduce this, and the maps are low resolution not allowing a very close image. To avoid showing these little problems I used some camera tricks and particle effects it was possible to use it.
I added some flares to the phoenix and that was it, I started to choose the camera angles that best captured the scene. I hope you like the result.
